Direct Vision System (DVS)
Our new Direct Vision System (DVS) feature for trucks, combined with the advanced CAN-bus signals, represents a significant advancement in road safety technology. By improving direct visibility and providing essential vehicle status information, we are helping to prevent accidents and protect vulnerable road users. Trust Cango Mobility to keep your fleet safe and compliant with the latest safety standards.

What is Direct Vision System (DVS)?
The Direct Vision System (DVS) is a state-of-the-art safety feature designed to enhance the driver’s ability to see other road users, particularly vulnerable ones like pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. The primary aim is to reduce the number of accidents involving heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in urban environments, where interactions with other road users are more frequent.
What minimal data can we read?
CANGO enhances the DVS by integrating critical parameters and signals from inside the vehicle through the CAN-bus. These signals are vital for providing a complete picture of the vehicle’s status and the driver’s actions. The minimal data we can read includes:
Ignition status: Indicates whether the vehicle is on or off.
Foot brake status: Indicates if the foot brake is pressed.
Speed below threshold status: Monitors if the vehicle speed is below a certain threshold.
Use caution in lane changes or stopover locations
Safer driving and also a reduction in wear and tear of the vehicles
Reverse gear status: Detects if the reverse gear is engaged.
Turn left signal at all speeds: Detects if the left turn signal is activated, regardless of speed.
Turn left with speed below threshold status: Indicates if the left turn signal is activated when the speed is below a threshold.
Turn right signal at all speeds: Detects if the right turn signal is activated, regardless of speed.
Turn right with speed below threshold status: Indicates if the right turn signal is activated when the speed is below a threshold.
What specific data can we include for Direct Vision System (DVS) devices?
To provide a more comprehensive safety solution, the following specific data can be included in the DVS devices:
Real-time video feeds: Cameras around the truck feed live video to displays inside the cab.
Bird’s-eye views: Assists drivers in complex maneuvers by providing an overhead view.
Proximity sensors: Detect objects in the truck’s blind spots and alert the driver through visual or auditory signals.
Collision warning systems: Detect potential collisions and can warn the driver or apply automatic braking in advanced setups.

Benefits of Integrating CANGO with DVS
Integrating CANGO’s signals into the DVS enhances the driver’s situational awareness and improves overall road safety. Key benefits include:
Increased visibility: Enhanced cab design and additional mirrors reduce blind spots.
Comprehensive surrounding views: Real-time video feeds and bird’s-eye views provide a complete picture of the truck’s surroundings.
Enhanced safety alerts: Proximity sensors and collision warning systems offer timely alerts to prevent accidents.
Improved driver actions monitoring: CANGO’s data on ignition status, brake usage, and turn signals provide crucial insights into the driver’s actions, enabling proactive safety measures.
